  • Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with room temperature water. Bring the eggs to a boil, remove from the heat and let sit for 8 minutes. Shock the eggs in cold water to stop the cooking and shrink the egg from the shell. Peel.

  1. This is how I always make my hard boiled eggs. You had salt listed in the ingredients so I'm assuming that you add it to the water too. (It isn't stated in the directions.) It makes the shell release every time leaving a perfect hard boiled egg. Thanks so much for posting!

  3. It worked but I had to add about a cup more water because it nowhere covered my eggs in my "small" sauce pot. I guess it just wasn't small enough. :/
     
  4. I needed a few eggs for different recipes so made these up. I followed the recipe as written. It doesn't say what to do with the salt but I added it to the water. Made for perfect hard boiled eggs.
