Deep Fried Cheese Curds

Here is another recipe for cheese curds. It's from the back of a bag of them from a creamery in Wisconsin. I haven't actually tried these yet. I will update when I do. I am sure that like other cheese curd recipes, it is not recommended that you substitute regular cheese as it WILL make a mess. String cheese should work instead of cheese curds if necessary, though.

Ingredients:

Servings: 16

• 2/3 cup milk
• 1/2 cup flour
• 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 lb cheese curds
• oil (for frying)

Directions:

1. Mix milk, flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Coat the cheese curds.
3. Deep fry in the oil until golden, taking care to only fry a few at a time.

I gave this 3 stars because the batter was very thin...I needed to add more flour to it to thicken it up. Once I got the right amount of flour in it the cheese curds were pretty good.
