These were very tasty onion rings. Fried up crisp and light. What more would you want. Thanks for posting this recipe.

These onion rings were INCREDIBLE. I did make a change, though. I had only written down the dry ingredients, and omitted the egg and used regular milk instead of buttermilk. The batter was the consistency of a think pancake batter. These did not coat the onion rings too thickly, giving you a real onion taste rather than a mouthful of fried batter. In my book they are tops. Oh, and I had no cornmeal so I replaced it with corn muffin mix. Thanks for posting.

These were great - just like a restaurant. I was surprised how quickly they fried up! I coated them a bit more than the one in the picture so they were really puffy and yummy. Thanks!

The only problem with these is that my DH says he'll never eat store-bought or restaurant made again! The batter was very good, it would be great on fish as well. My DS actually asked me to just fry up a bunch of the batter! I made it with your Lime Dipping sauce, which I think was the perfect accompaniment. My DH had them plain and DS had them (and the batter) with ketchup. Thanks!

These rings were excellent! They stayed crisp in the oven whilst I cooked the others. I added a bit more of both flours because the egg I sed was extremely large. Thanks for a good recipe.
