Surprisingly easy! I have made them twice, once with regular wings, once with boneless, and they have turned out awesome both times.

These are excellent! My teenagers love them and ask for them all the time. Definitely better with the Frank's hot sauce. I quadrupled the recipe and added an extra half-cup of hot sauce for that amount of wing sauce. It is a must to refrigerate the wings after tossing with the flour. Watch the the time for cooking. 10 minutes may be too much depending on the size of your wings. Also, the sauce separates after a few minutes when you are cooking multiple batches. Use an immersion blender to emulsify the ingredients and keep the sauce from separating.

This recipe was fantastic! I made it for superbowl this year and received many positive comments. Thanks again for the great recipe!

I have to say, these wings were the star of the Super Bowl this year! They disappeared in a flash! I will make these again often!

Incredible! Just like hooters. My husband loves this recipe. Always a great treat after a long day of work.

I was skeptical, we've tried lots of hot wing recipes; and much to our surprise.....we found this recipe to be fantastic!!!! I followed the directions exactly, love the tip about putting the floured chicken in the fridge, it did make a difference, did make them crispy....everyone raved! Thanks for sharing.... Just a note - if you are like me and don't normally use salt or use minimal salt in your food, do not add the salt to this recipe, the salt in the hot sauce is plenty.

Good recipe. I have never had the Hooters version so I have nothing to compare mine to, but DH says they are good and worth making for super bowl Sunday. Thanks for posting!

I amde this recipe last week as a dru run for my Super Bowl Party. I made with boneless chicken breasts because my DGF prefers boneless. I mixed the flour mixture the day before in a ziploc bag and cut up the chicken into bite sized pieces and mixed into the flour mixture. Followed the recipe exactly and they were AWESOME Will make again and again! Thanks Todd!

Amazing! Although I have not tasted the original one, the recipe helped me to cook the ever best wings. Allow the wings covered with flour for min 60 minutes in the refrigirator to have them crunchy as stated in the recipe. I also used paprika instead of cayenne pepper and made my own blue cheese sauce with yogurt, blue cheese and a drop of vinegar. (ingredients not very common in my country)

OMG I never thought I would ever make buffalo wings like this. Buffalo wings are my favorite appetizer so I know what I'm talking about. This taste better than the hooters version because I made my chicken really crunchy. Thank you so much for the recipe!

It's been a few years since I ate at Hooters so I don't know if this recipe was similar or not, but I really don't care because I thought they were great. I am not a fan of wings so I made boneless buffalo wings instead. I just cut up 2 boneless skinless chciken breasts and used the pieces instead of the wings. Of course I had to reduce the frying time, but that just made it even easier. I fried 4 batches and added each batch to the sauce once it was done cooking, so the chicken that cooked first had extra time to soak in the sauce. I didn't have paprika so I added an extra 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper instead and it turned out great. Also, I added about 1/2 tsp of minced garlic to the sauce and next time I think I'll add a whole tsp. I will definitely be making these regularly. Thanks for the recipe!

This a 5 Star all the way. My brother says these are the best wings ever.! I now make up about 30 wings at a time. Freeze them for him and he warms a few of them at a time when he wants a snack or when he has friends over for football. Do not change nothing and most of all have fun!! Thank You for your recipe!! Hugs

These were so good I put on Orange Shorts and tied my t-shirt around my mid-section! :) Really, just outstanding. I dusted the wings with flour first, then drug them through a little egg and milk before going into the recipe's flour mixture. Gave it a little heavier coating, just like the original HOOters!! Paul

My husband found this recipe and surprised me with them. They are the best we've ever had. A little hot so he made a variation and added 1T Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce and 2T honey. GREAT!!!!

I didn't use the breading for the wings as my husband doesn't like breaded wings (bonus! since it made the process easier for me). I made a batch of 40 for my husband's poker night with the boys. I got endless compliments on them. They came out of the fryer super crispy and the sauce was out of this world. They were surprised I made them from scratch. Thanks Todd, I'll make them again!

My husband has always said he only goes to Hooters for the Hot Wings. I made a batch of these last night and he said they are as good as the ones he gets at Hooters so I guess he will have to come up with another excuse to go to Hooters. These are great. I can't take the heat so I made half as in the recipe and the other half I used less hot sauce and a little bar-b-que sauce.

YUMMMY!!. I doubled the sauce since my family like it saucy. Other than that, everything remains the same.
