I thought I made good southern fried chicken!Well,I concede. This is the best I have ever had.The crust is light and flaky, seasonings just right. It turned out beautifully.I should have taken pictures.I will try as I have a few pieces left. Will throw out any other recipes I have for fried chicken.I did not change anything.

I had to make this after I came back from Savannah and eating at Paula Dean's restaurant. OH SO GOOD!!! This recipe makes it taste just like the chicken at the restaurant. Very good.

This was a great chicken, however it had too much crust. I personally do not care for quite so much crust because it holds too much oil.

This is such a nice and easy and VERY tasty recipe..I loved it I had to make my own self rising flour Emergency Self Rising Flour as I never buy it.. I made chicken tenders that were so nice and crunchy outside and moist and well flavered inside.. it is just a real great recipe that is now saved to my cookbook THANK YOU

This chicken is so crunchy and flavorful.Much better than fast food kind,in my opinion.Several of our family members use Paula's recipe with skinless boneless breasts, cut into strips.I like to marinate the chicken (once it's been seasoned)for 8 hours. We use the brand she recommends,Texas Pete. Also,to keep from wasting ingredients I use 1/2 the marinade ,and just spoon the flour as I'm breading. This is the kind of recipe I give anyone who likes fried chicken.

This is the best DAMN chicken that I have ever made. I used Trappey's hot sauce for the marinade. Hub is begging for more! Kudos to you and Paula Deen!
