Turned out great. I've tried 2-3 other recipes but this one tasted like the kind I would get from Cedar Pointe when I was a kid...yum

I had a hard time getting the oil the right temperature, but have figured out how!!! Basically, from a distance, splash a little water from your hand to the oil. If it pops high, then it's too hot, if it fizzles, it's too low. You want it to pop just a couple inches. My husband actually ate them and he says he likes corndogs! Thank you, Shannon!

Amazing I will never buy these at the store again. I have found that we liked chicken weiners better than the all beef. That was a surprise to me.

These were wonderful! They are just as good,if not better, than any I've had at the fair! Followed the recipe, and did not change a thing for excellent results..... Thanks for a recipe I will turn to again and again.

I made these for my 6-year-olds b'day and everyone was quite taken with them. They were a breeze to make, too. I used little cocktail franks on toothpick 'skewers'. Wonderful, bite-sized morsels that kids and adults alike appreciated. I got about 70 miniature corndogs using the recipe as written and the cocktail franks.

Really good. I had to scale down the recipe however to make only 4 corn dogs. Thank you for sharing!

I made these yesterday for Daggers birthday party. We had a carnival theme and these fit the bill perfectly. They were wonderful! I made them bite sized for little fingers for the party but me & dh had the skewered whole corn dogs earlier in the day as I wanted to test the recipe before the party. Yummy, easy and waaaaaaaay cheaper than buying a box of mini-corn dogs. Thanks for a great recipe!

Our kids love corn dogs, so when I saw this recipe, I had to try it! I made a batch tonight, and the kids thought they tasted great. (Okay, Mum and Dad thought so, too!) They went down so well, that later on, I made another batch, this time making mini corn dogs (without sticks). I have frozen them, and placed them in a freezer-proof container in a single layer. We usually purchase mini corn dogs from Schwan's, but from now on, we'll be able to make our own. (At a fraction of the cost!) Thanks, Shannon!

I love this recipe!!I have had it in my cookbook forever and never made them because I always forgot to buy the sticks....after reading the reviews and finding out that the sticks aren't really necessary,I finally decided to make them.I am truly disappointed that I did not try them sooner, they are effortless to make and taste better than the store bought expensive corn dogs.My kids will be sooo happy to know that they can have corn dogs any time now!1Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

These corn dogs were great! I also added 1-1/2 T honey to the mixture as suggested by MizEmeril. DH and son really enjoyed them. Thanks for posting, I will make them again...Kittencal:)

These are excellent! I just got done making them at around 8:30am today, and they smelled and looked so good that I ate one for breakfast (I was trying to make them ahead of time for dinner.) I added about 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey to the batter just for extra sweetness, and it worked great. My batter I think was a bit too thin, but it was my fault for adding to much milk...easy enough to fix next time. Well, thank you for a wonderful recipe!

I loved this recipe! I did them a bit different, I made "Dawg Bites". I just cut the hot dog in to slices, battered and fried them! The kids and my husband loved them!!

This is a fantastic recipe. My five year old has been bugging me to make these again since June. I made them for the kids but had a dinner party so never tasted them. Last night I did them again and they are delcious! Now my little guy won't have to bug me I'll want to make them for myself - forget gourmet food and bring on the corn dog!

This recipe was an absoulte 'KEEPER'!!!!!! Here in Canada you can buy the "frozen" Pogo sticks at a cost of about $3.50 for a box of 4! With my family of six (3 of which are males, 1 adult & 2 teenage boys) you can imagine how many boxes I have to buy for one meal. Now I can make a dozen of them for under 5 bucks!!! Thank you soooooo much for this recipe! I will be sharing this recipe!!!!
