St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Got this recipe from a St. Louis Bar and Grill. My DH and his friends love it. I usually have to double the recipe.

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 34 cup dry Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 12 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 13 34 ounces frozen cheese ravioli, thawed
  • vegetable oil
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce


  1. Combine milk and egg in a small bowl.
  2. Place breadcrumbs and salt in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dip ravioli in milk mixture, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Pour oil to depth of 2 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 350 degrees.
  5. Fry ravioli, a few at a time, 1 minute on each side or until golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately with warm spaghetti or pizza sauce.
